OSTELLO OLD MILANO, Milan

The recently built hostel is set 350 metres from Milan's Loreto Metro Station, with direct access to both the M1 and M2 lines, making Milan Central Station reachable in just two stops. Corso Buenos Aires, one of the city's most popular shopping streets, is only 300 metres away. The Museum of Modern Art is three metro stops from Loreto. The area also features numerous supermarkets, bars, launderettes, and a variety of restaurants including Pizzeria Piccola Ischia, Sushi&Fusion, and Ejao Bistrot, all within a 5-minute walk. For those arriving by car, public parking is available nearby (€20/day, reservation needed).

Accommodation at Ostello Old Milano includes both shared dormitories and private rooms, all with en suite bathrooms, a work desk, and a wardrobe. The décor features bright colours and modern furniture, and some rooms offer garden views. Dormitories are available in 4-bed configurations, each with personal bed lighting, a power socket, a privacy curtain, and a small locker (bring your own padlock). Air conditioning runs during limited hours (approximately 21:00-07:00), and heating is available. Daily housekeeping is provided, and beds are made every day. Note that rooms do not have individual locks - access is via a shared building key, so the personal locker is essential for valuables. The building has no lift, so the accommodation is best suited to those comfortable with stairs. The property is older and basic, but prioritises cleanliness and location over modern style.

A continental breakfast is offered each morning, including hot and cold drinks along with pastries. The hostel also has a shared kitchen and a terrace where guests can prepare and enjoy their own meals. The surrounding area is well-supplied with supermarkets, bars, and a wide range of restaurants - such as Pizzeria Piccola Ischia, Sushi&Fusion, Delfino Restaurant, and Caffe' Trattoria Ambrosiana - all within a short walk, offering plenty of dining variety for those who prefer to eat out.

The hostel offers a 24-hour front desk, free Wi-Fi throughout the property (available in the rooms), and luggage storage service (additional charge). A minimarket on site sells snacks and drinks, and vending machines provide both drinks and snacks. Fax/photocopying is available for an additional fee.
