PANDA HOSTEL, Milan

The hostel sits on a lively street near Piazzale Loreto, a well-connected transport hub with the metro, buses, and trams. Milan Centrale Train Station is a 12-minute walk or 2 metro stops away on the green line, providing easy rail and airport bus access. The Duomo is reachable within 15 minutes by metro. The area is packed with pizzerias, restaurants, a 24-hour grocery store, and kebab shops within a 300-metre radius. For those driving, private paid parking is available on site.

Private rooms are compact and equipped minimally - a bed, wardrobe, and small table. Some private rooms include a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, while others use shared facilities. Dormitory beds come with an individual locker and shared bathroom. Certain rooms feature a balcony and some a terrace, depending on availability. Noise insulation is poor, with thin partition walls and audible activity from hallways and neighbouring rooms. Dorm rooms are often crowded, with limited space for luggage. Beds can be wobbly and mattresses vary in firmness. Black mould has been reported in some rooms, and issues with hot water and heating have occurred - advise checking room condition upon arrival.

With no breakfast service or on-site restaurant, guests need to plan meals independently. The hostel provides a shared kitchen for self-catering. The surrounding area offers a wide choice of affordable dining, including several pizzerias, Chinese restaurants, and a kebab shop all within a few minutes' walk. Supermarkets are also nearby for groceries.

Leisure facilities include a games room equipped with table tennis and board games, plus a shared lounge with TV and a terrace. The hostel also offers a library of books and games, and a foosball table. These communal areas are open to all guests. There is no spa, gym, or swimming pool.

The hostel provides free Wi-Fi throughout, a 24-hour front desk for late arrivals, and free luggage storage before check-in and until 7pm after check-out. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. On-site parking costs €15 per day and does not require a reservation. A shared kitchen and a shared lounge/TV area are accessible. Lockers are available - bring your own padlock or buy one at reception for €3. No pets are allowed. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, and other major cards.
