RELAIS ACCADEMIA, Florence

The property sits on Via Ricasoli, a street bustling with museum-goers during the day but quiet at night. Piazza San Marco, a hub for several main bus lines, is a short stroll away, providing convenient connections to the Artemio Franchi stadium, the Mandela Forum concert venue, Piazzale Michelangelo, and nearby towns like Fiesole. Florence's main train station is about 15 minutes on foot, making day trips easy. The Fortezza da Basso, hosting major fairs such as Pitti Uomo, is a 10-minute walk. All of Florence's historic centre, including shopping streets, cafés, restaurants, and nightlife, is within easy walking reach - no car needed.

The three rooms facing the garden offer two balconies and a spacious terrace - ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The two rooms overlooking Via Ricasoli remain quiet at night thanks to soundproofed windows. All rooms feature historic furniture, a private bathroom with shower and monodose toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and a mirror. A luggage case is also provided. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, and beds can be separated on request. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the garden-view rooms noted as particularly roomy. While there is no lift, the first-floor location is accessible via a short flight of stairs.

Rather than an on-site breakfast, guests receive a voucher exchangeable at a bar just steps from the property, serving typical Italian breakfast items (cappuccino, pastry) from around 08:00 until the early afternoon. For lunch or dinner, numerous restaurants, trattorias, and wine bars surround the property within a 5-minute walk, including Trattoria Camillo Cavour and Ara: E Sicilia. A supermarket is also close by for self-catering supplies.

The property does not offer a pool, spa, gym, or dedicated leisure area. The outdoor terraces of the garden-view rooms provide a calm spot for relaxation. The surrounding historic centre is rich with museums, galleries, and piazzas, and the hotel provides guides, maps, and a local events calendar to help plan your itinerary.

Check-in is self-directed: upon arrival you receive keys and a map with personalised recommendations. Luggage storage is offered for exploring after check-out.
