The inn is embedded within the iconic Chungking Mansions complex, a five-block structure housing hundreds of shops, eateries, and budget accommodations. The location is a prime base for exploring Kowloon: the MTR station entrance is across the street, providing direct links to Hong Kong Island, Disneyland, and the airport via bus (stop also opposite). Victoria Harbour, the Cultural Centre, and the Avenue of Stars are within a 10-minute walk. The surrounding area is a 24-hour commercial hub with markets, restaurants, and electronics stores. Note that the building itself is extremely busy, with narrow corridors, strong food aromas, and frequent stalls on the lower floors. The elevator queues can take up to 15 minutes during peak times, and the lifts are small (max 6 persons). Some rooms on upper floors may require a short stair climb from the lift landing.

Room categories include Single (with microwave), Double, Twin, Triple, and Family rooms for up to 3 guests. All rooms feature air conditioning, soundproofing, a flat-screen cable TV, and an en suite bathroom. Some rooms include a microwave and electric kettle; a common microwave and refrigerator are available in the hallway. Rooms are compact - the floor area is often less than 8 m2, especially in the standard double. A number of rooms have no windows, which can lead to poor ventilation and a stuffy feel. Bedding and towels are provided but may show signs of wear; cleaning is performed on request. The building's construction means some rooms may experience noise from air pipes or hallway activity. For a better experience, request a room with a window and confirm the room type at booking.

Reliance Inn does not operate a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. The immediate area is a food destination: within 0.5 km you will find Taj Mahal Club, Bismillah Kebab House, Hutong, Felix, Wu Kong Shanghai Restaurant, Wakas Mess restaurant, and The Sweet Dynasty - covering Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine. The ground floor of Chungking Mansions houses numerous small food stalls. For a quick breakfast, the 7-Eleven and local bakeries on Nathan Road are open early. Guests who prefer to prepare their own meals can use the common microwave and refrigerator in the hallway.
