Downtown Kailua-Kona (Ali'i Drive) is about a 10-15 minute walk, though some find the walk long. A car is recommended for full access to area beaches, restaurants, and attractions. Kona International Airport is 16 km north, Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park is 32 km south, and the resort is conveniently located between Hilo and Hapuna Beach. Free on-site parking and easy in/out access make car-based exploration straightforward.

There is no restaurant or bar located on the property. A small coffee shop near the south pool operates from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., offering coffee and light items. A vending machine for drinks is in the parking garage. For all other meals, guests rely on the full in-unit kitchen (stocked with cookware and dishes) or the three on-site BBQ areas.
