SCOTTISH INNS AND SUITES SCARSDALE, Houston

The motel's primary advantage is its proximity to William P. Hobby Airport (10 km) and Space Center Houston (15 km), making it a suitable stopover for airport connections or visits to the space center. The immediate area includes a Wendy's and a gas station, but the surrounding neighbourhood has a reputation for being less secure, and visitors may prefer to avoid walking alone at night. Parking is free and private on site, making it a practical choice for those arriving by car, though pick-ups and drop-offs by rideshares require coordination with the front desk to avoid room lockout.

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom with a bath and shower, free toiletries, a hairdryer, work desk, and an AM/FM alarm clock. While the furnishings are basic and the property is older, the rooms are generally clean. The bedding is thin; extra pillows and blankets should be requested at check-in if needed. Soundproofing is minimal - traffic noise, neighbouring rooms, and the ice machine are clearly audible, making earplugs advisable for light sleepers. For a longer stay, the lack of kitchen facilities and dated feel become limiting. Room options include a spacious double with two beds and a smaller double with one bed.
