SUITES LA LATIINA - MADRID CENTRO, Madrid

This property sits in central Madrid, placing Plaza Mayor within 1 km and the famous Mercado San Miguel just a 9-minute stroll away. Puerta del Sol is 1 km away, and Reina Sofia Museum is 2 km from the apartment. Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 14 km away; a paid shuttle service can be arranged. The immediate area is dense with tapas bars, shops and supermarkets. The central staircase can amplify noise from other floors, but the neighbourhood itself feels safe both day and night. Public bus lines and metro stations are within walking distance, making car-free exploration straightforward. The lift is available but noted to operate slowly, so consider this when carrying luggage to upper floors.

The property offers a choice of studios and one-bedroom apartments. Each unit comes with a full kitchenette including a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, kitchenware and a tea and coffee maker. A washing machine is installed in every apartment. The main sleeping area contains a double bed; additional guests use a sofa bed, which can be less comfortable for longer stays. The open-plan layout means the bedroom and living area are not separated by a door - consider this if privacy is important. Some apartments include a balcony with city views and outdoor furniture. Bathrooms feature a walk-in shower but no separate bathtub. A dated TV with only national channels is standard. Rooms on lower floors or near the staircase may experience more hallway noise; units away from the core are quieter. The floor in the bathroom area may show signs of wear in some apartments.

A breakfast-to-go service is offered for a supplement of 14 EUR per person. There is no full restaurant or bar on site, so guests should plan daytime meals around the many dining options within a few minutes' walk. Nearby tapas bars include Casa Gerardo, Zaida 26, Cara B, El Puchero de la Abuela, and Bodega del Aguila - all within 0.3 to 0.5 km. The fully equipped kitchenette in each apartment gives the option to prepare simple meals, supported by supermarkets in the immediate area. For a wider choice of Madrid's dining scene, Plaza Mayor and the surrounding streets offer numerous restaurants for all budgets.

WiFi is free throughout the property. A paid airport shuttle (pick-up and drop-off) can be arranged. Reception provides an invoice and the team is responsive in both English and Spanish. The lift serves all floors but operates slowly. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms and a security alarm. Daily housekeeping is not included in the base price but can be added as an extra service; only a final cleaning after checkout is covered. Luggage storage is available if arriving before check-in. The lift can be slow, so factor in extra time when moving luggage. The building entry uses a digital code sent via a web link, which requires an internet connection to access - have the code saved beforehand to avoid lockout issues.
