THE HEART OF NEWINGTON, Edinburgh

The Heart of Newington is situated 1 km from the National Museum of Scotland and 2 km from Edinburgh Castle. A bus stop directly across the street offers frequent services into the city centre, making car-free exploration straightforward. The area is well served by supermarkets, restaurants and pubs all within a 0.5 km walk. Edinburgh Airport is 10 km away, and a taxi or airport bus is the most practical transfer option. The property is located on a first floor without a lift, which should be considered by guests with mobility concerns.

The property offers a range of room types, including double and twin rooms with private or shared bathrooms, as well as a large 3-bedroom apartment sleeping up to 6 people. The apartments feature a living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and oven. A washing machine and tea and coffee facilities are standard. Some double rooms include a fireplace, and all rooms have cable TV. The larger apartments have three bathrooms, which is highly practical for groups. Rooms facing the road can be noisier, so those sensitive to sound may wish to request a quieter aspect. The first-floor setting with no lift means luggage needs to be carried up stairs.

Several supermarkets are within a 0.5 km walk for groceries. For eating out, Aleppo Kitchen, The Abbey Bar and The Southern are all within 0.5 km, offering varied dining options in the immediate neighbourhood. The property does not operate its own restaurant or breakfast service, so meals are either prepared in the apartment or sourced from nearby venues.
