Hotel Details

Location

Located on a quiet residential street in East Wall, Dublin 3 - a 10-minute walk from The Convention Centre Dublin, 1 km from 3Arena, and a short tram ride to Temple Bar.

The homestay is on St. Mary's Road in East Wall, Dublin 3 (north of the River Liffey). Dublin Airport is 9 km away (42 minutes by public transport). The Luas tram stop is a 10-minute walk and brings you to the city centre in under 5 minutes; the bus stop is at the end of the road. Walking to Temple Bar takes about 25 minutes. Croke Park Stadium is a 23-minute walk. RDS is 42 minutes by public transport. Free on-site parking is a rare advantage for car users, and the property is minutes from the Dublin Ferry Terminal.

Accommodation

Two en-suite double rooms (bed 140x200 cm) with walk-in showers, desk, seating area, tea/coffee maker, mini fridge stocked with water and soft drinks, bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary snacks.

Each room is compact but thoughtfully appointed: the bed is a comfortable double (140 cm wide - not king size). Expect a clean, quiet, carpeted room with heating, ironing facilities, a wardrobe, and a choice of city view or quiet-street view (the quiet street side is recommended for light sleepers). The private bathroom is modern with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The rooms are not large enough to accommodate an extra bed, and there is no TV - but the fast Wi-Fi supports streaming on personal devices. The interior design is described as cozy, clean, and detail-oriented.

Dining

Complimentary daily breakfast buffet with home-baked goods, fresh fruit, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, cereals, and vegan/gluten-free options by request. Packed breakfasts available for early departures.

Breakfast is served in the shared kitchen and includes a full continental buffet. The hosts bake fresh scones, muffins, banana bread, soda bread, and lemon loaf daily. Items such as bread, meats, cheese, yoghurt, fresh berries, and cereals are always available. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are offered on request. The breakfast is relaxed and often shared with the hosts, who provide local tips. For early tour departures, a packed breakfast with snacks is provided. Special diet menus are available on request. Several restaurants - including Musashi IFSC (Japanese), Da Mimmo (Italian), and Cloud Cafe - are within 1 km.

Leisure

The property provides board games and puzzles for quiet entertainment. Two resident cats, Twix and Buttons, add a homely atmosphere in common areas downstairs.

Leisure options focus on the homely, social setting rather than formal wellness facilities. Board games and puzzles are available for use in the shared spaces. The two resident cats, Twix and Buttons, stay downstairs and are present during breakfast (they are temporarily moved outside or to the hallway for guests with allergies). The quiet residential street and garden courtyard offer a calm space to unwind after a day in the city.

Amenities

Free high-speed Wi-Fi (64 Mbps), free on-site street parking (no reservation needed), luggage storage, laundry, fax/photocopying and private check-in/out - all complimentary.

Services are designed for convenience: luggage storage allows you to drop bags before check-in (14:00) or after check-out (11:00). Laundry and fax/photocopying are provided free of charge. Key access and smoke alarms are installed for security. The hosts can supply Leap cards for public transport and arrange public transport tickets at an additional charge. Street parking is free and does not require a reservation - a significant advantage in central Dublin. Check-in is from 14:00, check-out until 11:00; early check-in or late check-out can often be arranged if the room is available.
