オウルハウス, Tokyo

The location is in a quiet residential corner of Tokyo, a 5-minute walk from Tachiaigawa Station, providing direct 30-40 minute train access to Shinjuku and other central spots. The surrounding area is safe and walkable, with several parks (Shinagawa Park is a 3-minute walk), supermarkets, convenience stores (7-Eleven nearby), and a range of budget-friendly restaurants including ramen, okonomiyaki, and sushi options within 0.5-1 km. This makes it practical for self-catering and budget travellers, though the neighbourhood itself offers limited nightlife or tourist attractions.

The property does not serve breakfast or run a restaurant, so meals are fully self-catered or purchased outside. The fully equipped shared kitchen provides a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and kitchenware, enabling guests to prepare their own food. A coffee machine and electric kettle are available. For those preferring to eat out, the immediate area has multiple affordable ramen, sushi, and okonomiyaki restaurants within a 500-metre walk, plus a 7-Eleven convenience store and a supermarket, making it easy to source groceries or quick meals.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Guests have access to three free washing machines, a shared kitchen (stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, kitchenware), and a shared shower with a hairdryer. The check-in process is entirely self-service via online form; codes are sent before arrival, but late-night arrivals should have phone backup in case the code or door pin fails. No reception staff are on site, and luggage storage is unavailable before check-in. Safety features include CCTV outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key access via code, and a security alarm. The property forbids smoking with a possible fine and eviction penalty.
