ACCANTO ALLA PIAZZA, Bologna

The property is set on Via Pescherie Vecchie, a narrow market street lined with food stalls, restaurants, and shops. This location is ideal for exploring the historic centre: the Archiginnasio di Bologna is 300 metres away, La Macchina del Tempo is 300 metres away, and MAMbo is an 18-minute walk. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is 12 km away. The street's market sets up early each morning, creating a lively but also potentially noisy environment from around 5:00 am. The building is on the second and third floors with no lift, and the area is pedestrian-only, so driving directly to the door is not possible. The central rail station is a 15-minute walk.

All rooms are non-smoking and include air conditioning. Bed configurations vary: some rooms have one double bed, others have two single beds plus a sofa bed. Private bathrooms are equipped with a shower, bidet, and hairdryer. Some rooms have a private bathroom located a few metres down the hall (past a common living room) rather than en suite; these are for the sole use of the occupant and are on the same floor. Rooms are on the second and third floors, accessible only by stairs. A few rooms are attic-style with skylights rather than windows, and some contain portable air conditioning units. The accommodation is better suited to travellers prioritising location and convenience over luxury or modern decor.

Self check-in is standard, with keys managed via WhatsApp communication. The shared kitchen is equipped for basic meal preparation, and a minimarket on site provides essentials. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out using the common areas, though there is no secure lockable luggage room. WiFi is free and of good quality throughout. The shared lounge/TV area offers a space to relax. There is no bike storage. Check-out is at 10:00, and the host can sometimes accommodate a later departure subject to availability. The building is secured with key access. Only an invoice is provided as a reception service; there is no 24-hour front desk.

The guest house is located in Bologna's Quadrilatero culinary district. Within a 300-metre radius are Bar Il Calice, Salumeria Simoni, Sfoglia Rina, Mercato di Mezzo, Rossopomodoro, Zerocinquantino, Pescheria del Pavaglione, and Osteria dell'Orsa. The fully equipped shared kitchen gives guests the freedom to prepare their own meals using fresh ingredients from the daily market just outside the door. For those preferring to dine out, the property's location provides immediate access to the city's best food scene without needing to travel.
