AFFITTACAMERE SERENO, Rome

The guest house is situated in the city centre, less than a kilometre from Rome Termini Metro Station and a 10-minute walk from Rome Termini Train Station, giving direct rail and Metro access across the city and to the airports. Rome Ciampino Airport is 15 km away. Most major sights, including the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum, are reachable on foot in 20-30 minutes; for longer trips, Metro stations Repubblica and Castro Pretorio are each about 5-10 minutes away. The surrounding streets are quiet and well served by restaurants, cafés, and a large supermarket. Buses run frequently to the Vatican and other farther attractions.

Rooms come with one, two, or three beds and include a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, a minifridge, a safe, and a TV. Some rooms also feature a balcony. Several rooms have been recently renovated and are cleaner and more modern than older listing photos suggest. The bathroom is enclosed within the room by a partition wall, so privacy within the room is limited; it is described as compact and functional, with basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and towels provided. Double-glazed windows help keep the rooms quiet, though thin internal walls mean conversations from neighbouring rooms and kitchen activity can be audible. Road-facing rooms can be noisier; those overlooking the inner courtyard tend to be quieter.

Breakfast is an optional paid service (8 EUR per person) and can be served in the room - it includes basic continental items such as pastries and hot drinks. The shared kitchen is well equipped with a stove, electric kettle, toaster, refrigerator, and a fully automatic coffee machine; tea and filtered water are also provided free of charge. Guests use the kitchen regularly around the clock for preparing their own meals, so the space can be busy at all hours, and strong cooking smells can sometimes drift into the rooms. Several restaurants, pizzerias, and wine bars are within a 5-minute walk, offering Roman and international options for dining out.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Daily housekeeping is provided; cleaning includes changing towels and making the bed, though housekeeping staff may move personal items during cleaning. A shared kitchen is open to all guests and includes a refrigerator, stove, kettle, toaster, and a coffee machine. Luggage storage is offered free of charge on arrival and departure days, but the storage area is not locked separately from the main building entrance. Laundry and ironing are available for an additional charge. The building has a lift, and key access is required to enter the property at street level and the guest house door. 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers are in place. The property does not accept pets and is strictly non-smoking throughout.
