The boat is located at the exclusive Prospect Mooring in Wandsworth, a quiet residential stretch of the Thames. The Uber Boat (river taxi) station is practically next door, providing a fast, scenic route to piers across central London, including the London Eye and Greenwich. Wandsworth Town train station is a 15-minute walk away. For those walking, the Thames Path runs right past the boat, and Putney Bridge (District line, 15 min walk) provides tube access. Nearby dining options include The Cat's Back (0.5 km), The Hop Pole (0.5 km), and Miraj (0.5 km). There is no on-site parking; street parking is available a couple of blocks away.

The accommodation is the private cabin section of a historic Dutch barge (built 1906), separated from the owners' living area. The bedroom is larger than expected, featuring a very comfortable double bed, a seating area, a dining table, and a wardrobe. A tea/coffee maker and chocolates or cookies are provided. The private bathroom includes a shower, bidet, free toiletries, and an alarm clock. The room is well-heated and stays warm even in winter. From the bedroom, you have direct access to the wheelhouse, a cosy seating area with panoramic river views used for breakfast and relaxing. The setting is exceptionally quiet at night, with only gentle wave and bird sounds.

Breakfast is a highlight of the stay. Each morning, the host delivers a continental breakfast to your preferred time, which you enjoy in the wheelhouse while watching the river activity. The spread includes fresh croissants or pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, and tea or coffee. Many consider it a perfect, generous start to the day. For other meals, several pubs and restaurants are within a short walk: The Cat's Back (0.5 km), The Hop Pole (0.5 km), Miraj (0.5 km), Kathmandu Valley (1 km), and Moons Cafe and Bar (1 km). The host is also happy to provide local recommendations.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the boat. Pets are allowed at no extra charge. The host lives on the boat and is available for advice, local tips, and assistance.
