ALBERGUINN, Barcelona

The location is ideal for transit users: Sants Station connects directly to Barcelona-El Prat Airport in 18 minutes by train, and the Metro reaches the city centre in 10 minutes. The surrounding area is calm and residential, with several bars, restaurants, and a craft brewery within a three-minute walk. The street is quiet after dark, but some late-night passers-by can be audible. For guests arriving by car, no on-site parking is available; staff provide directions to the nearest public parking. The hostel is also within easy walking distance of the Camp Nou stadium (about 15 minutes on foot).

Each bed has its own curtain, reading light, and power socket, creating a semi-private capsule-like space. Bed linen is provided fresh and sealed. Lockers under the beds are large enough to store a suitcase. Some dormitories have good natural light; others are interior-facing and can feel stuffy despite working air conditioning. Soundproofing helps reduce street noise, but hallway activity - late check-ins and early risers - carries into the rooms. Men's and women's shared bathrooms are separate, each with a hairdryer, though men's facilities have been noted as less well-maintained. Women's showers may occasionally have one working unit. Towels are not included but can be rented for €3 at reception.

The shared kitchen is equipped with microwaves, a dishwasher, and basic cookware, making self-catering easy. A drinks vending machine is available in the communal area. No breakfast service or restaurant is on site, so travellers catching an early train should plan ahead - several cafés and a bakery are within a three-minute walk of the hostel. The kitchen is closed for cleaning at certain hours; reception can confirm access times. Staff have been known to offer coffee on request at check-out.

The 24-hour reception handles late arrivals smoothly and can arrange tickets for tours and events. Free luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, including for oversize bags that won't fit in the bed lockers. Daily housekeeping is free; laundry services (washer-dryer) are available for an additional charge. An elevator serves all floors, making accessible movement easy for those with heavy luggage. Reception accepts Visa and MasterCard; cash payments for on-site services are accepted. A shared TV lounge and a selection of board games provide low-key entertainment. Safety features include key-card and key access, security alarms, and 24-hour front desk presence.
