NU WAVE HOTEL BERLIN - DIGITAL CHECK-IN, Berlin

The hotel sits in a quiet residential street within lively Friedrichshain, surrounded by restaurants, pubs and clubs. Warschauer Straße station (700 m) provides direct S-Bahn and U-Bahn connections to Alexanderplatz (3 stops) and Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Frankfurter Tor station (800 m) is another quick U-Bahn option. The Mercedes-Benz Arena (Uber Arena) is a 10-minute walk, making the location practical for concert and event attendees. On foot, the area offers numerous cafes, bars and supermarkets, including an Aldi nearby. For car-free city exploration, the public transport network makes car use unnecessary, which is fortunate given the complete absence of on-site parking and limited paid street options.

Rooms come in several layouts: standard doubles with a double bed, quadruple rooms with a double bed and an extendable sofa (all beds in one room), and studios with a kitchenette (stovetop, fridge, microwave) and garden-view. All rooms include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, soundproofing, heating and free toiletries. The rooms are bright but compact; doubles are suited to short stays, while quadruple and studio rooms offer more space and storage. A mini-fridge is standard. Windows open in some rooms, but there is no air conditioning - fans can be borrowed subject to availability. The property has a lift and rooms are accessible via PIN-code entry. Rooms facing the interior courtyard tend to be quieter.

A self-service breakfast area in the lounge provides free coffee, tea, croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, jam, Nutella and fresh fruit - ideal for a light start before heading out. This offering appears from 08:00, matching reception hours, so early departures before that time will need to make alternative plans. There is no cooked breakfast, restaurant or bar on the property. The immediate neighbourhood is dense with dining options, including Taverna Kreta, Hirsch Bar and Molly Malones Irish Pub within a short walk, as well as a range of international restaurants along the main streets. Guests with specific breakfast needs may wish to plan accordingly.

The hotel does not operate its own wellness or fitness facilities - there is no spa, swimming pool or gym. For leisure, cycling is possible in the Friedrichshain neighbourhood, though bike hire is not available through the hotel itself. The shared lounge/TV area and outdoor furniture offer spaces to relax. The lively district and nearby parks provide most of the recreational appeal, with many bars, clubs and cultural venues within walking distance.
