APARTMENT HOTEL AM SAND SELF CHECK-IN, Hamburg

The hotel sits in a pedestrian area within the Harburg district, a 15-minute drive from central Hamburg. Harburg Rathaus S-Bahn station is just 20 metres from the property, offering direct rail access to the city centre. The A1 and A7 motorways are roughly 2 km away for car travellers. The neighbourhood is lively, with many cafés, restaurants and shops within 100 metres, and a weekly market that adds morning energy. Hamburg Archaeological Museum is 300 metres away, and Technical University Hamburg is 700 metres. The central location places the hotel in a busy area, so night-time noise from the street can be noticeable; lighter sleepers may prefer rooms away from the front.

Each room is furnished in a modern style and includes a satellite TV, work desk, private bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette. Some rooms feature either a double bed or twin beds. Kitchens may lack cooking utensils, pots, and basic tableware; these items are available on request at reception. The rooms are heated and soundproofed. The hotel is located in a pedestrian zone and can be noisy at night, especially in street-facing rooms. The lift does not operate to all floors when reception is closed; guests on upper floors may need to use stairs with luggage. Room sizes vary; some are compact, making them more suitable for short stays rather than extended visits.

The hotel does not provide breakfast or operate a restaurant. For meals and drinks, the surrounding area offers numerous cafés, restaurants and shops within a 100-metre walk, including Block House Harburg, Tung's Asia Restaurant, Ristorante Pizzeria Mercato, and several other options less than 0.5 km away. Those who prefer self-catering can use the in-room kitchenette, but should confirm the availability of pots, pans and utensils at check-in, as these are not automatically included. A vending machine for drinks is available on site.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all areas and a 24-hour front desk. Express check-in and check-out, private check-in/out, and a VIP experience option are available. Lockers and an ATM/cash machine are on site. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra charge. Business facilities include fax/photocopying for an additional fee. A safety deposit box is available at an extra charge. The property has a lift, but it only runs between reception hours; outside these times guests may need to use stairs. Accessible parking, a parking garage and an electric vehicle charging station are present, with public parking nearby costing €6 per day (no reservation). The hotel is non-smoking throughout, with designated smoking areas, and is allergy-friendly. A minimarket and a shared lounge/TV area are also on site.
