Archie's House sits in the Cannaregio district, an authentic Venetian neighbourhood with a quieter, less touristy feel than the area around Piazza San Marco. It is 1 km from Rialto Bridge and 2 km from Basilica San Marco, a 20-25 minute walk. The property is a 7-minute walk from Ca' d'Oro waterbus stop, making vaporetto access straightforward. Venice Marco Polo Airport is 13 km away; a waterbus or bus from Piazzale Roma reaches the property in about 40 minutes. A large supermarket is located immediately next door, and several restaurants, bars, and cafés are within a 5-minute walk.

Archie's House offers a range of rooms: double rooms with shared or private bathrooms, spacious quadruple and triple rooms, and family rooms with private bathrooms. Some rooms include a sink and hairdryer directly in the room. The property has soundproofing in many rooms, but street-facing rooms can still be noisy when windows are open. There is no air conditioning; each room has two fans for cooling. Rooms are generally large but furnishings are basic and dated. Beds have coloured sheets and towels, which some find less fresh. For light sleepers, rooms away from the street with windows closed offer better rest.

There is no restaurant or breakfast service on site. The shared kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a coffee machine, along with free tea and coffee.
