The hotel is located on The Alameda, placing it directly along the route to the SAP Center, ideal for concert and event attendees. Within a 0.5 km radius are Whole Foods Market, CVS pharmacy, and several dining options including Crema Coffee, Sushi Infinity, Chipotle, and Floodcraft Brewing Co. The Diridon Caltrain station is nearby, offering direct routes to San Francisco and other parts of the valley. While downtown San Jose is about a 15-20-minute walk, taking an Uber back late at night is recommended. The area has seen development alongside the SAP Center but some blocks have a significant homeless presence. The hotel provides easy freeway access.

Most rooms are large and include a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub that has jets only at the bottom. Bed configurations include king suites with separate living areas. In-room amenities feature a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, ironing facilities, hair dryer, free toiletries, and AM/FM alarm clock. Some rooms have a sitting area with wobbly tables and a ceiling fan. Maintenance and decor vary significantly, with some rooms being clean and comfortable while others have worn carpets, stained furniture, loose outlets, peeling paint, rusty fixtures, and poor lighting. Noise from the parking lot, hallway, and outside construction in the mornings can be an issue. Rooms facing the street or parking lot may be less suitable for light sleepers. The selection is limited by many accounts, described as a typical basic American motel breakfast with hot items (eggs, sausages) and cold items (cereals, canned fruit, yogurt). Some have noted the breakfast to be surprisingly good for the price, with eggs, sausages, and waffles on occasion. Unusable for a full meal, many suggest visiting Whole Foods or a nearby café for a more substantial breakfast. The dining area lacks atmosphere and breakfast staff can be inattentive.

Wellness and leisure facilities are limited to the in-room jacuzzi tub. This large tub is a feature of most rooms but is not a full-size whirlpool bath. The hotel does not offer a pool, fitness centre, sauna, or any on-site leisure facilities. The property does have a small courtyard garden area.
