ART ATELIER SAN PIETRO, Rome

This property sits in the Prati district, directly across from the Vatican City. St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums are within a 400-metre walk. Ottaviano Metro Station (Line A) is a 4-minute stroll, providing direct access to the Spanish Steps and Termini Station. Castel Sant'Angelo is a 10-minute walk, and the historic centre is quickly reached by metro or bus. Rome Ciampino Airport is 18 km away. The immediate area is filled with restaurants, cafés, and mini-markets, making it very convenient for self-catering or dining out. Road-facing rooms overlook a busy five-lane street, so the location is best suited for travellers prioritising proximity to the Vatican and public transport over absolute quiet.

Accommodation ranges from double rooms (one bed) and triple rooms (two beds) to a two-bedroom holiday home sleeping up to five guests. All rooms are air-conditioned, though some portable units can be noisy. Standard amenities include a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, safe, free toiletries, and a private bathroom with a shower, bidet, and hairdryer. The apartment adds a full kitchen, washing machine, dining area, and living room. City views are common, with some rooms offering a direct sightline to the Vatican. Soundproofing is present, but the building's older construction means noise from adjacent rooms and street-facing windows can be an issue for light sleepers. Room size varies - some are spacious, others more compact, especially the bathroom. Bed comfort has improved, with newer mattresses in some units.

Breakfast items are provided in a designated area or in-room, including packaged biscuits, toast, jam, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee capsules. This is a self-service continental offering without hot dishes or fresh fruit. The kitchen is available for guest use and includes a kettle, microwave, and refrigerator. Nearby dining options are plentiful within a 300-metre walk: Amalfi Madre and Be.Re for seafood, Old Bridge Gelateria for ice cream, L'Insalata Ricca for salads, multiple pizzerias, and cafés such as Caffe dei Papi. For guests wanting a hot or more substantial meal, local restaurants serve traditional Roman pastas and coffee.

The immediate area around the property does not contain a pool, spa, or gym. For leisure beyond sightseeing, an ice-skating rink is within walking distance, suitable for families or casual skating. The property's primary recreational draw is its location, placing guests at the centre of the Vatican's cultural landmarks, all reachable on foot.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. A paid airport shuttle can be arranged. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, allowing guests to explore the city without bags. Check-in is self-service via a key box and a video tutorial, which is useful for late arrivals. Communication with the owner happens through WhatsApp or the booking platform, and responses are generally prompt. Daily cleaning includes emptying bins and occasional restocking of breakfast items; towel changes occur every four days. Cots can be provided on request. No pets are allowed, and no on-site parking exists. Lift access is available to all floors.
