B&B GELSOMINA APARTMENT, Rome

Situated on Via Ottaviano, the apartment is a short stroll from St Peter's Square (600 metres) and within 1 km of Lepanto Metro Station. Nearby attractions also include Piazza del Popolo (2 km) and the Vatican Museums (450 metres). Rome Ciampino Airport is 18 km away. The neighbourhood is lively and practical, with multiple restaurants, pizzerias, pastry shops, and bars all within a 5-minute walk - including 200 Gradi, Pinsa 'Mpo, and Trattoria Vaticano Giggi. The metro line provides quick access across the city, making car-free movement straightforward. Despite the central street location, soundproofing keeps rooms quiet.

The property offers double rooms (with one bed) and single rooms, all featuring air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities, and an electric kettle. The rooms are notably spacious for the area and include a mini fridge and ample storage. Shared bathrooms are a key feature - they are cleaned daily and well-maintained, so they work reliably for solo travellers or those prioritising location and value. Daily housekeeping restocks the room, and the host provides responsive text-based communication for check-in guidance. The unit has one bed per room, so groups or families needing multiple beds should plan accordingly.

The breakfast is Italian-style, typically including juice and pastries or similar continental items. It is a practical option for a quick morning bite before heading out to explore the Vatican or nearby sights. The dining area is shared, and the breakfast experience is straightforward rather than elaborate. For a wider variety, the surrounding streets are packed with restaurants, pizzerias, and cafés - such as Bar Pasticceria Gelateria Parenti Silvano and Da Vito e Dina - all within a few minutes' walk for lunch or dinner.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The building has a lift for easy access to all floors. Daily cleaning and restocking of the room are included, and the host communicates clearly via text for check-in instructions. Luggage storage is available in the hallway for early arrivals. No parking is available on site, so public transport - especially the nearby metro - is the most efficient way to get around. Fire extinguishers are in place for safety. The property is non-smoking throughout.
