ARTISTICO - SPACIOUS, AIR-CONDITIONED APARTMENT IN HEART OF DORSODURO, Venice

The apartment sits in Dorsoduro, Venice's most laid-back sestiere, directly across from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. La Fenice Theatre and Piazza San Marco are within a short walk, yet the area feels residential and peaceful. Two vaporetto stops - including the flat, bridge-free no. 6 Santo Spirito route - provide easy access to the station and other islands; other routes require crossing bridges. A Conad supermarket is a short walk away, and galleries, wine bars and casual restaurants are within a few steps. Venice Marco Polo Airport is 17 km from the property.

The apartment comprises 1 living room, 2 separate bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with shower and free toiletries. The layout separates the living room, kitchen and bedrooms, making it easy for groups of four or two couples to have space and privacy. Both bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, ample storage, and air conditioning (also available in the living room). The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and a tea and coffee maker. A desk and seating area provide a quiet work space. Windows have blinds and are not overlooked despite the ground-floor setting. The atmosphere is described as artistic and homely, with personal touches that set it apart from typical rentals. The garden view adds a calming backdrop.

The apartment's kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, a stovetop, refrigerator, and a generous supply of plates and glasses, ideal for preparing meals. A selection of tea, coffee and basic pantry items (oil, vinegar, salt) is provided as a welcome touch. The surrounding Dorsoduro streets offer a wide variety of dining options within a few minutes' walk - from traditional Venetian trattorias such as Taverna San Trovaso and Hosteria Sconta to modern spots like Linea D'Ombra and Enoteca Al Gondolieri. Several bars and casual pubs are also nearby. For groceries, a Conad supermarket is less than 10 minutes away.

The property does not have an on-site pool, spa or gym. For beach visits, guests can access paid facilities at the Lido beach, reachable by vaporetto. The apartment's real leisure value lies in the Dorsoduro neighbourhood - quiet streets for walking, world-class art galleries (Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Gallerie dell'Accademia), and the peaceful Zattere promenade along the Giudecca Canal.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment. Luggage storage is available for a small fee, allowing guests to drop bags from 10:00 on arrival day. The host provides clear instructions and is responsive to requests. A paid airport shuttle (pickup and drop-off) can be booked in advance. The apartment includes a washing machine, iron and ironing board - a practical bonus for longer stays. No parking is available; arriving by vaporetto or the People Mover from the Tronchetto parking island is recommended.
