AYCEE NYC GUESTHOUSE, New York

The guesthouse sits on West 44th Street in the theatre district, placing you within moments of Broadway shows, the New York Public Library, and Bryant Park. The subway stop is a short walk, and cabs are easily available on 9th and 8th avenues. A wide range of dining options is within 0.5 km, including Shake Shack, Mexican, Italian, and burger spots. An ice-skating rink and boating activities are also close by. The area is pedestrian-friendly but can be busy and noisy. Note that on-site parking is not available, so car-free travel is advised. Street-facing rooms may pick up traffic noise.

Soundproof wall panels are installed in some rooms, but noise from adjacent rooms and the street is still audible. Some rooms have large uncovered windows, reducing privacy and allowing light to enter at night; window coverings are not standard. Rooms are basic and functional. Bed comfort varies-some mattresses are soft, while others are very firm. The shared bathrooms are small and hot water can run out quickly during peak times. The building has no elevator, and some upper-floor rooms may lack adequate heating or ventilation. Cleaning frequency in rooms and bathrooms can be irregular. For travellers with respiratory concerns, note that some rooms have no operable window.

The neighbourhood provides ice-skating and paddle-boating opportunities depending on the season. There is no on-site spa, gym, pool, or other wellness facility. The central location also gives easy access to Bryant Park, Broadway theatres, and city landmarks for additional leisure activities.

Internet access is free in all rooms. The property is non-smoking throughout, and pets are not allowed. Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00. Access is via a keypad entry system with codes sent by email before arrival; there is no staffed front desk. The host can be contacted by phone for assistance. Luggage storage and daily housekeeping are not offered, and the shared bathroom may occasionally be used by permanent residents of the building. Rooms include a refrigerator, kettle, and hairdryer for basic self-sufficiency.
