BANCHI, Florence

The property is perfectly positioned for exploring central Florence on foot: the Duomo is 3 minutes away, Santa Maria Novella station is a 5-minute walk, and major sights such as the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and Accademia Gallery are all within 1 km. The area is well served by restaurants, with several options right outside the door, including Trattoria Za Za and Ristorante Alla Griglia. Firenze Airport is 9 km away, easily reachable by tram or taxi. The location is ideal for short city trips where walking access to landmarks and public transport is prioritised.

Accommodation consists of double rooms with private bathrooms featuring a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Each room includes a wardrobe and a sofa bed, while some have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, electric kettle, and coffee machine. Rooms are large and some feature beautiful frescoed ceilings. However, several rooms face the street and have windows that do not close properly, leading to noise from the street and potential mosquito entry. The air conditioning has been noted to be noisy and insufficient for cooling in summer or heating in winter, especially in rooms with high ceilings. Some bathrooms have a persistent drain smell and a shower seal that allows water to flow onto the floor. The sofa bed in some rooms is a low mattress on the floor, not a proper bed. For a comfortable stay, a room away from the street and with modernised windows and heating is recommended.
