The neighbourhood is notably quieter than central Shinjuku or Shibuya, but well supplied: a supermarket, convenience stores, coin laundry, bakery, and a dozen restaurants (Menya Akatsuki, Gyozaya, Misono, Meisuien and others) are within a 2-3 minute walk. TABATA Memorial Museum of Writers and Artists is under 1 km away; the Fabre Insect Museum is an 11-minute walk. Haneda Airport is 26 km by train.

Rooms are dormitory-style without private bathrooms - shared toilet and shower facilities are located on the floor. Each bed comes with a privacy curtain, a lamp, an outlet, and space for storing a tote bag or small computer. Lockers are available. The property is adults-only. The building is older and industrial, with a lift (elevator) to the 5th-floor hostel. Air conditioning and heating are provided. Some rooms show signs of age like dated decor or less clean floors. The hostel is above karaoke bars on lower floors that can be very loud until around 2 am; earplugs are provided at reception. This accommodation is most suitable for travellers who plan to spend the day exploring and return only to sleep and shower.
