The lodge is on a quiet street yet within a short walk of Kings Cross station, providing direct rail access to the city centre and Sydney Airport. The Opera House is a 25-30 minute walk or a short train ride. Many cafes, bars, and restaurants are within 300 metres, including Figo Ristorante & Bar, Cafe Hernandez, and The Farmhouse Restaurant. The surrounding area features Art Deco architecture and is close to Rushcutters Bay. Public transport includes a bus stop outside and Kings Cross station two blocks away.

All rooms include a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, sink, and minibar fridge, allowing self-catering. Ceiling fans and portable fans are provided due to the lack of air conditioning, which can make rooms uncomfortable in summer. Rooms with a balcony or terrace are available and popular. Bed sizes include double, queen, triple, and twin configurations. The property has no lift; rooms on upper floors require climbing steep stairs. Some rooms have a quiet street view. Soundproofing is not fully effective, and noise from adjacent rooms or the corridor may be heard. Cleanliness is generally good, with daily housekeeping. Private bathrooms are available in select rooms; shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly.

The lodge does not have a restaurant, bar, or breakfast option. Each room's kitchenette is equipped for self-catering. A minibar is available at an additional cost but is limited in selection. The surrounding streets are lined with dining options within a 3-minute walk, including Italian, Japanese, and Australian cuisine at venues such as Figo Ristorante & Bar, Enya, and Bayswater Kitchenette. There is no pool, gym, spa, or fitness centre on the property.
