Santa Maria Novella train station is a 10-minute stroll, making rail arrival and departure straightforward without a taxi. The surrounding area felt safe walking at night, and the property is inside the ZTL (restricted traffic zone); however, having the Garage Giglio handle permits means you can drive in without penalty. For car-free movement, the location is a base from which all major sights - the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, the Accademia - are within a leisurely walk.

For longer relaxation, the Cascine Park is a 20-minute walk along the Arno, and many wine bars and gelato shops are clustered around the surrounding streets.
