B&B KING SQUARE, Rome

The B&B is on a busy street in a central location, providing straightforward access to Rome's historic centre via the nearby metro. A metro station is within walking distance, making it practical for sightseeing without a car. The area has several restaurants and cafés within a short walk, including Trattoria Re di Roma and others. However, the central location on a busy road means street noise can be significant, especially with windows open, and nearby construction has been noted. Free private parking is available nearby with a reservation, which is a rare advantage for a central Rome location, but the immediate streets can be noisy.

The accommodation consists of small, basic rooms, typically with a double bed. The compact size can be challenging for two people with suitcases. All rooms share two bathrooms located in the corridor, one with a shower cabin and toilet, the other with a shower over a bath and toilet. The shower quality varies between the two, and hot water can be inconsistent, sometimes requiring waiting or restarting a boiler. The rooms have heating, but lack air conditioning or a fan, so sleeping with the window open for ventilation is common, which then admits street noise. Wi-Fi signal is weak or non-existent in many rooms, with the strongest signal found in the entrance hall. The furniture and decor are dated, and the building is not well soundproofed.
