B&B S.MARCO, Venice

The B&B is set on a quiet canal away from the main tourist crowds, yet within a 5-minute walk to Piazza San Marco and Rialto Bridge. The nearest vaporetto stop (San Zaccaria) is a 3-minute walk, providing direct connections to Santa Lucia train station and Marco Polo Airport. Eight restaurants, cafés, and a supermarket are within 300 m. Boating tours and local cultural classes are available nearby.

Three room types are available. The Nonni room has a private ensuite bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The Genitori and Marco rooms share a bathroom in the corridor, which can be booked privately on request. Genitori offers a balcony overlooking the canal. All rooms are on the third floor with no elevator - not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. Each room has air conditioning, soundproof walls, a work desk, tea/coffee facilities, parquet flooring, a CD player, and ironing facilities. Towels are provided.

Breakfast is served in the family kitchen and includes a variety of breads, pastries, homemade orange marmalade, fresh juice, coffee from a Bialetti or Nespresso, and tea. It is a self-service affair where guests often sit together. For lunch or dinner, eight restaurants are within a 3-minute walk, including Trattoria da Denis and Osteria Oliva Nera Venetia. A nearby coffee shop (Pasticceria Chiusso) is also recommended for an excellent cappuccino.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Luggage storage is offered free of charge, useful for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping includes bed making and replenishing bottled water. The 24-hour front desk handles late check-in requests; the host speaks several languages. A minimarket, coffee shop, and hairdresser are on site. Babysitting/child services and bicycle rental are available for an additional fee. Fax/photocopying is free.
