BED & BREAKFAST LA TAVERNETTA, Florence

The B&B occupies a charming Tuscan villa in a calm neighbourhood, ideal for those who want a peaceful retreat after sightseeing. Bus and tram stops are within a 5-15 minute walk, connecting directly to central Florence (Piazza del Duomo is about 7 km away). Fortezza da Basso is 5 km and Pitti Palace is 5 km. The area is well served by public transport, making a car unnecessary for exploring the city. Several casual restaurants and a large supermarket are a short stroll away, and the property is accessible by car with free street parking directly opposite.

Room types range from double rooms with one bed to quadruple rooms and apartments sleeping up to three people. All accommodations include a private bathroom with shower, free toiletries, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a coffee machine, wardrobe, and heating. Apartments add a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, microwave) and a separate dining and seating area. Triple and quadruple rooms are notably large, and many rooms feature either a terrace or garden views. Comfortable mattresses and blackout curtains support good sleep quality. Ceiling fans keep rooms cool even during warm spells. Shared access to a communal kitchen on the floor adds convenience for storage and light meal preparation.

Each morning from 07:30 to 09:30, a complimentary self-service breakfast is set up in the communal area, offering coffee, orange juice, and individually wrapped pastries. There is no hot breakfast or buffet. For more substantial or varied meals, guests can use the shared kitchen to prepare their own food, or walk a few minutes to nearby eateries including Pizzolato (0.5 km), Pizzeria Cinzia and FC Kebab (both 0.5 km). The apartment rooms come with a full kitchen, ideal for families or longer stays wanting to cook.

The property offers a garden and terrace where guests can unwind after a day of exploring. The calm neighbourhood provides a quiet environment, and the charming architecture (Mediterranean-style entrance, parquet floors) adds to the relaxing atmosphere. There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on site, but the nearby tram and bus stops make it easy to access Florence's many cultural and leisure attractions. Secure storage is available for bicycles.

High-speed Wi-Fi is free throughout but reach can be inconsistent in some rooms. Free public parking is located directly across the street and does not require a reservation. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures. The shared kitchen includes a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, dining table, and seating area. The host is known for being attentive and flexible, often allowing early check-in when possible. The building has key access and a quiet, safe atmosphere. Fax/photocopying is available free of charge. No pets or smoking are allowed on site.
