BEST WESTERN FLUSHING-LAGUARDIA, New York

The hotel sits in the bustling Flushing Chinatown district, surrounded by Asian restaurants, shops, and markets. The Flushing-Main Street subway station (7 train) and the Long Island Rail Road station are both within a 5-minute walk, providing direct service to Manhattan in about 30 minutes. Citi Field is a 5-minute drive or one subway stop away, and the USTA National Tennis Center is 4 km from the hotel. LaGuardia Airport is 6 km away (about 10 minutes by car), but traffic in the area is often heavy. No airport shuttle is available, so the 7 train or a taxi/rideshare are the recommended options. Street parking is very limited and paid lots are available nearby.

The hotel offers double and quadruple rooms. Rooms are small by most standards, typical of New York City budget hotels. Each room includes air conditioning, heating, a work desk, tea and coffee facilities, and cable TV. Some rooms have a mini fridge. Beds are generally comfortable, though pillows can be inconsistent. Rooms on lower floors or facing the street may experience noise from traffic and the busy neighbourhood, as well as aircraft from the nearby flight path. Some rooms have been described as musty or with worn carpets. Windows in some rooms can be opened only about 3 inches. Views are often of a brick wall or back alley. Corner rooms may have weaker Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are private with a shower; some reviews note slow-draining tubs or plumbing issues. Daily housekeeping is provided, but requests for towel replacement may require follow-up.

The included breakfast is a basic continental buffet with bread, pastries, cereal, pancakes, coffee, and juice. The selection is consistent each day, with limited hot options. The breakfast room is small and can become crowded when groups are present. Items may run out toward the end of the serving period. There is no restaurant or bar on the property, but the surrounding Flushing Chinatown offers hundreds of affordable Asian restaurants, bakeries, and street food within a few minutes' walk. Vending machines with drinks and snacks are available in the hotel.

The fitness centre contains basic exercise equipment. It is free for guests but has been described as outdated. There is no swimming pool, spa, or sauna on site. For leisure, the hotel's location provides easy access to Citi Field, the USTA National Tennis Center, and the shops and entertainment of downtown Flushing.
