The property sits directly above a nightclub on a street lined with similar nightlife venues, so the area is active and noisy, particularly at night and on weekends. Matsuzakaya Ueno is 300 m away, Ueno Royal Museum 500 m, and Saigo Takamori Statue a 5-minute walk. The building's 2nd floor is a nightclub - the hostel is on the 3rd floor, reached by stairs only. While the location is central for sightseeing, the immediate block is dominated by bars and girls' bars, which may feel uncomfortable for some. Haneda Airport is 22 km away; the neighbourhood is walkable to Ueno's cultural sites but public transport is recommended for longer trips.

Only dormitory accommodation is available, with one person per bed. Bathrooms are shared (no private en suite). Rooms are carpeted and feature air conditioning, heating, and curtains for each pod. Mattresses are very thin (described as foam on a board), and the interior is dark and dated. Upper bunks require climbing a shared ladder that is off-centre from the pod opening, and the entry/exit can be cumbersome. Luggage cannot be stored by the bed - suitcases must go in the hallway or shared living room, which may mean climbing over others' bags. The building has no elevator and is on the third floor. Noise travels easily: thin doors and thin walls mean club music and other guests' conversations can be heard at all hours. For quieter conditions, bring earplugs and an eye mask.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, a bar, or a guest kitchen. There is no dining facility on site. The immediate neighbourhood provides ample eating options: within 300 metres you reach Sushizanmai Ueno, Rengyokuan, Tensuzu, Sairaien Ueno Nakamachidori, Ueno Korean Cuisine Hyungboo Ishiyakiya, Kurofunetei, and Arabian Rock. Guests must plan all meals outside the property, which is well served by nearby casual and Korean restaurants. There is no in-room fridge or cooking equipment.

The property has no pool, gym, spa, sauna, or dedicated leisure facilities. The only common relaxation space is a shared lounge/TV area with two chairs and a desk. This space is also used for luggage storage, so it can become crowded. For leisure activities, guests rely on Ueno's nearby parks, museums, and the surrounding entertainment district - all within walking distance.
