CANDLEWOOD SUITES COLUMBUS-NORTHEAST BY IHG, Columbus

Candlewood Suites Columbus-Northeast is situated 4 km from Columbus Airport, placing it within a 10-minute drive of the terminal. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is 10 km away, and the National Infantry Museum lies 12 km south. Several dining options including Dairy Queen, Old Chicago, and Pita Mediterranean Street Food are within 0.5 km, making dinner on foot easy. Fort Benning is nearby, and the hotel's free on-site parking with accessible spots means a car is convenient but not mandatory. Freeways provide quick access to downtown attractions and business centres.

All suites feature a kitchenette with a stovetop, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. Private bathrooms include a bath, shower, and hairdryer with Dove toiletries provided in mounted dispensers. Rooms have air conditioning, heating, a work desk, flat-screen TV, and carpeted floors. Some units have a sofa bed or recliner. The hotel offers queen-bed and king-bed suites. While some rooms are spacious and clean, the overall on-site data shows that specific units may have dated furniture, noisy refrigerators, or carpet that requires a deep clean - issues reported by less frequent groups. Travellers with light sleep needs should request a room away from the front desk to avoid door slam noise.

Candlewood Suites does not operate a restaurant or serve a cooked breakfast. Each suite's full kitchenette (stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, utensils) allows for self-catering. A snack bar and vending area cover small purchases. For ready meals, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, Old Chicago, and El Carrizo Mexican Restaurant are within a 5-10 minute walk, and Jim Bob's Chicken Fingers is 1 km away. Guests should plan grocery shopping after check-in to fully use the kitchenette.

The outdoor saltwater pool is seasonal (open June-September 09:00-22:00) but is currently closed. Pool/beach towels and sun loungers are available when operational. The on-site fitness centre is equipped with free weights and cardio machines. Outdoors, a picnic area with BBQ facilities and a fenced pool surround provide recreational space. For quieter downtime, a shared lounge with a TV is available. No spa or wellness centre is present, making this property ideal for practical, self-led leisure rather than luxury relaxation.
