CANDLEWOOD SUITES - MEMPHIS EAST BY IHG, Memphis

The location on Whitten Road places the hotel in close proximity to the interstate, making it convenient for travelers passing through or exploring the area. Wolfchase Galleria is a 12-minute drive away, and various restaurants are within walking distance. A Walmart is nearby for supplies. However, the neighborhood is considered rougher, and on-site security is present 24/7 in response to reported parking lot break-ins. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle; a taxi or ride-sharing service is recommended for airport transfers. Attractions such as the Memphis Zoo (17 km) and the Fire Museum of Memphis (22 km) are accessible by car.

Each suite features a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and kitchenware, allowing for meal preparation. The living area includes a sofa or seating space, a work desk, and cable TV. Bed configurations include either one king or two queen beds. Some suites offer a separate bedroom door. The property has an elevator, but its reliability has been reported as inconsistent. Rooms may have tiled or carpeted floors, and some units are wheelchair accessible with a roll-in shower. Soundproof walls help reduce corridor noise, but road-facing rooms may still experience traffic sounds. Air conditioning is available in all suites. The hotel does not have balconies or rooms with private bathrooms separate from the suite; all bathrooms are ensuite.

The fully equipped kitchen in every suite includes a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is available in the hotel. Grocery deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge. The surrounding area offers several dining and takeout options within walking distance, as well as a nearby Walmart for groceries.

The fitness centre is equipped for a basic workout and is free for all guests. The hotel also features a shared lounge/TV area, BBQ facilities, and a picnic area with outdoor furniture for relaxation. No pool, spa, jacuzzi, or sauna is present on the property.
