CANDLEWOOD SUITES WICHITA - AIRPORT BY IHG, Wichita

Located directly off the highway, the hotel is 1 km from the airport (free shuttle weekdays 7-6), 8 km from Century II Convention Center, and 9 km from Intrust Bank Arena. Guests find the area well lit and safe, with a Walmart across the street and several fast-food and casual restaurants within walking distance. The location is ideal for layovers, business trips, or extended stays with a car.

All rooms include a recliner, work desk, and a full kitchenette with two-burner cooktop, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and basic cookware. Every room has one queen bed. The property offers family rooms and board games, but no rooms with balconies. While many find the rooms clean, spacious, and comfortable with good beds and water pressure, some units have experienced issues with musty odors, worn furniture, and older plumbing. Top-floor rooms away from the elevator tend to be quieter.

The hotel does not have a restaurant or breakfast service. A small on-site mini-market offers drinks and packaged food for purchase. For more options, Walmart is directly across the street and several fast-food restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The room's full kitchenette including a cooktop, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator makes self-catering straightforward.

The fitness centre is on the ground floor near the office and open 24 hours. Outside, a picnic area with gazebo and two gas grills provides space for relaxation and cooking. There is no swimming pool, spa, or hot tub on site.

The property offers a free airport shuttle (weekdays 7 AM-6 PM) and free on-site parking without reservations. A 24-hour front desk provides daily housekeeping, luggage storage, and a lending locker for kitchen appliances. Business centre, fax/photocopying, and dry cleaning are available for a fee. Free guest laundry with modern washers and dryers is a notable perk. Pets are allowed with a fee. The hotel is entirely non-smoking.
