COMFORT INN WICHITA EAST, Wichita

The Comfort Inn Wichita East sits right off I-35, giving quick access to downtown and major business hubs including Boeing, Cessna, and Raytheon. McConnell Air Force Base, Sedgwick County Zoo, and Exploration Place are all within a short drive, while Wichita State University is 10 km away. Several restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and the surrounding hotel cluster provides a safe, well-lit environment. For those without a car, the location is convenient for accessing local attractions but a vehicle or ride-share is recommended for exploring the broader Wichita area.

Guest rooms are spacious and practical, featuring a desk, seating area, and a private bathroom with a bath and shower. Standard amenities include a tea and coffee maker, heating, and an inner courtyard view. Suites include a sofa sleeper for extra guests, along with a microwave and refrigerator. Some reviews have noted that mattresses may show wear - sunken middles have been reported - and that rooms can feel humid or musty upon arrival. The AC cools the room efficiently after initial arrival. Rooms are generally clean, quiet, and arranged well for both leisure and business stays.

The complimentary breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, tater tots, and a choice of waffle flavors, along with yogurt, fruit, cereal, drinks, and pastries. The breakfast area is clean and well stocked, with friendly staff. For those needing to leave early, breakfast may not be available before 6am. There is no on-site restaurant or bar, but several fast-food and casual dining options - including Chipotle - are nearby. The breakfast is a reliable start to the day, though some have noted the waffle batter occasionally tastes sour.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all areas, free local calls, and a free weekday newspaper. The business centre includes a computer, printer, and fax/copy services. Other services include a 24-hour front desk, safety deposit box, and vending machines for drinks and snacks. Dry cleaning and ironing are available for an additional charge. The property is wheelchair accessible with grab rails in toilets. There is a designated smoking area. Note: the outdoor sidewalk and parking lot may require snow removal in winter.
