CARLO GOLDONI HOTEL, Milan

The hotel sits in a quiet residential area well connected to public transport. Dateo metro station (line 4) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct access to Linate Airport and the city centre. Tram line 5 from Central Station stops at Piazza Ferravilla, and bus 54 stops 100 m away, reaching the Duomo in 10 minutes. Milan Central Station is about 20 minutes by tram. The Duomo is a 20-minute walk or a short metro ride. Several restaurants, bars, and a supermarket are within walking distance. The area feels safe even late at night, and the hotel's location avoids tourist crowds while keeping central attractions easily reachable.

All rooms feature a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Each has a work desk, wardrobe, private entrance, and soundproof walls. While official soundproofing is installed, noise from hallways and neighbouring rooms can be audible - rooms facing the internal courtyard tend to be quieter. Some units include a mini-fridge. Room sizes vary; basic rooms are compact, while higher-category rooms offer more space. Daily housekeeping is provided, and fresh towels are supplied. Note that no rooms have a balcony. For light sleepers, requesting a room away from the breakfast area or street-facing side is advisable.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries (often pre-packaged), cold cuts, cheese, fruit, and hot drinks. It is served on the terrace or in the breakfast lounge. For lunch or dinner, the hotel has a bar and coffee shop with snacks, and a vending machine for drinks. Several restaurants and pizzerias are within a 5-minute walk if you prefer a full meal. The on-site minimarket is handy for self-catering. Wine and champagne are available at an additional charge. Overall, the breakfast is functional but not extensive, and the surrounding area offers plenty of dining options to supplement.

Private parking is available inside the property for €15-€20 per day but must be reserved in advance due to limited spaces. A 24-hour reception allows late check-ins and early luggage drop-offs (lockers available). Daily housekeeping is included, with fresh towels and toiletries. Laundry service is offered at a nearby facility (100 m). The hotel has a lift, shared lounge/TV area, terrace, and a minimarket. Express check-in/out is possible. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, and a safety deposit box. Pets are allowed with no extra charge. A paid shuttle service to/from airports can be arranged (€130 each way), but public transport (metro/tram/bus) is more economical. Business facilities include a meeting/banquet room and fax/photocopying. Note that there is no restaurant, spa, or swimming pool.
