HOTEL TRENTINA, Milan

The hotel faces a peaceful garden square, offering a tranquil base steps from green space. Metro stations Piola (MM2) and Loreto (MM1) are each about 200 m away, connecting directly to the historic centre (Duomo, La Scala) within a few stops. Milan Central Station is 800 m - a 10-minute walk or a short tram ride (tram 33 stops at Piazza Aspromonte, 50 m from the hotel). Linate Airport is easily reachable by road; Malpensa and Bergamo airports are accessible via train or shuttle to Central Station. The area is well served by bus, tram, and a BikeMi bike-sharing station. Major hospitals (Istituto Tumori, Neurologico Besta) and Politecnico University are within a few minutes' walk, making the location practical for medical or academic visits.

Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, bidet, and hairdryer (irons on request). Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a direct-line telephone. The interior is described as dated, with older furniture, carpets, and windows. Sound insulation is minimal - noise from corridors and neighbouring rooms can be heard. Some rooms open onto a small balcony or terrace, but no rooms have a dedicated balcony with a view. The single room has a 1.5-bed setup; double rooms use two single mattresses pushed together. No mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities, or in-room safe. The building has no lift, so upper-floor rooms require stair climbing. The accommodation suits travellers who prioritise location and budget over modern décor and quiet surroundings.

Breakfast is a standard continental buffet with fresh croissants and bread, cereals, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, jam, Nutella, and juice. Hot drinks (espresso, cappuccino) are prepared on request at the bar. The selection is basic and can be limited later in the morning; arriving earlier ensures a wider choice. The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar (beyond the breakfast service area), or room service for meals. No packed breakfast or early breakfast is available. Several casual dining options are within a 5-minute walk, including Trattoria Bertame, Delfino Restaurant, and a gelateria. For a fuller meal, the surrounding Città Studi area offers many inexpensive eateries.
