Situated less than 1 km from Playa del Carmen Beach and the ADO International Bus Station, Casa Maca is within a 5-10 minute walk of the main shopping and dining strip on Fifth Avenue. The Cozumel ferry terminal is also a short walk, making island day trips convenient. The ADO bus station is particularly close, ideal for airport transfers or exploring the Riviera Maya by public transport. Attractions such as Xel Ha, Xcacel-Xcacelito, and Kantenah Bay are within 45 km, and the Church of Guadalupe is 3 km away. The location is central yet away from the busiest nightlife noise, but the street can be busy during the day, so rear-facing rooms are quieter.

Accommodation options range from compact studios to larger suites and apartments. Basic studios have air conditioning, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a safe deposit box, and a private bathroom with shower. However, some studios have no window and no fridge or kettle - these feel like a windowless bunker, suited only for a short overnight stay. Upgraded suites and apartment units include a balcony with pool views, a kitchen with refrigerator, kitchenware and microwave, a coffee machine, and a seating area. Family rooms offer a sofa bed and can sleep up to 4 guests. Thin walls and road-facing rooms can result in noise from the street or neighbours; rear-facing rooms are quieter.

Casa Maca does not have its own restaurant or offer breakfast, so guests need to plan meals independently. The location on Avenida Juárez and near Fifth Avenue places a wide variety of dining options within a 5-10 minute walk - including Paleteria y Neveria Purepecha, Alitas Express, Mimosa Resto & Canteen, and Aranchido, all approximately 0.5 km away. A Walmart is also very close, convenient for self-catering in rooms that have a kitchenette.

The outdoor swimming pool is open all year and is surrounded by a sun terrace and garden with outdoor furniture and a picnic area. The pool area provides a clean and peaceful space for relaxation after a day at the beach or exploring. The pool may occasionally be closed for maintenance, so checking its status ahead of arrival is wise. No further spa, gym, or organised leisure facilities are available on site.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms (speed approximately 50 Mbps). Luggage storage is available for a fee, useful for early arrivals or late departures. A paid airport shuttle can be arranged - prices depend on whether it is shared or private. Alternatively, the ADO bus station is a 15-minute walk away. The property has 24-hour security with CCTV in common areas and outside, plus safety deposit boxes in rooms. Pets up to 10 kg are allowed for a one-time fee of USD 15.00 but are not permitted in public areas.
