APPARTAMENTI MELISSA, Playa del Carmen

The property is within easy walking distance of the beach, 5th Avenue shops, restaurants, and the Cozumel ferry terminal. The ADO bus station is a short 600-metre walk, making it convenient for bus travel to Cancún or Tulum. The surrounding area is safe and has a lively atmosphere with street food vendors and local bars. Cozumel International Airport is 34 km away; taxis or colectivos from the ADO station are the main transfer options. Paid street parking (10 MXN per hour, 10:00-22:00) is available directly outside, but the location is best explored on foot or by public transport.

The accommodation offers one-bedroom apartments, studios, and double rooms, all with private bathrooms and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, and cookware. Bed configurations vary: some units have a double bed, others a double plus a single, and larger apartments include a separate living area. Rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a dining table, and a private entrance. Some rooms open onto a garden terrace or a patio with outdoor seating. Air conditioning is standard, though older units can be noisy; rooms with newer, quieter AC units are available upon request. The property is clean and well-maintained, with simple but functional furnishings. Housekeeping is provided twice per week.

The property does not have a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. Each room includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and basic cookware, allowing guests to prepare simple meals. There is an OXXO convenience store directly opposite for essentials. The surrounding streets are filled with local taco bars, street food carts, and eateries such as Corrida Casera, ChickenItza Pollos, and Fuku cocina de precision, all within 0.5 km. This setup suits budget-conscious travellers who prefer to cook or eat out rather than rely on a hotel dining room.

On-site leisure facilities are minimal: there is no swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre. The property has a small garden with a terrace and outdoor furniture where guests can sit and unwind. For snorkelling, the beach is a short walk away, and live music and sports events are available at nearby venues for an additional charge. This makes the property more suitable for guests who plan to spend their leisure time exploring the city, beach, and local entertainment rather than using hotel amenities.
