The hostel is roughly 2 km from Cozumel International Airport and a short walk from the port (about 7 blocks). The neighbourhood is quieter than the tourist ferry zone, with a bank and grocery store nearby. Numerous dining options - including Basil, Taberna El Greco, and Taqueria Molina - are within a 5-10 minute walk. The beach and main strip are also reachable on foot, and bike rental makes exploring the island easy.

Private rooms accommodate up to two people and include a wardrobe, work desk, and either a private or shared bathroom. Some rooms have a fan instead of AC. The female dormitory has three beds and is spacious. Air conditioning in the dorm runs only at night; private rooms have full AC. Rooms facing the street can be quiet, and overall the property is known for being peaceful and conducive to rest. Showers have hot water but low water pressure is sometimes noted. Daily cleaning keeps the accommodation fresh.

The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking basics, a filter for drinking water, and a system for keeping food organised. The outdoor patio provides a pleasant place for meals. Within a 5-10 minute walk there are many affordable local restaurants and taquerias, including Chilangos Taqueria, K'ooben Laab, and Santa Maria Loncheria. The hostel's own activity company, Miri Adventures, organises scuba diving (including PADI courses), night snorkelling, surfing lessons, and yoga sessions. Bicycle and car hire are also on offer.
