Casita Lucero is situated in a quiet residential area a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre and the harbour. The Museum of Glass and Crystal is 700 metres away, and the Picasso Museum Málaga is 1 km from the property. The immediate surroundings are a little rough but the street itself is calm. Bus routes 1 and C2 stop a 3-minute walk from the house, reaching Plaza de la Merced in about 15 minutes. The nearest airports - Malaga Airport - is 11 km away (15 minutes by car/taxi, also reachable by bus or bus/train combination). There is no dedicated parking, but free on-street parking can be found in the El Ejido or Segalerva neighbourhoods, about a 10-minute walk from the house.

Casita Lucero offers private rooms, family rooms, and a 5-bedroom holiday home. Room options include single and double rooms with shared bathrooms, as well as a double room with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Some rooms have garden views, a patio or a terrace. Single rooms in particular may have no external window, which can lead to poor ventilation and humidity. Ceiling fans are provided in most rooms but there is no air conditioning in many.
