CHARLIE HOTEL, London

The Northern Line from Tufnell Park provides direct access to Central London in about 10 minutes, with connections to Camden Town, Angel Islington, and King's Cross. The O2 Forum Kentish Town is a 10-15 minute walk away, and Emirates Stadium and Finsbury Park are within a 25-30 minute walk. Hampstead Heath is also nearby. The street itself is quiet and leafy, lined with Victorian houses. There is no congestion charge in the immediate area, but driving into central London on weekdays incurs a fee. Bus stops are within a few minutes' walk for alternative local routes.

The hotel offers twin, double, and quadruple rooms, each with a private bathroom. Rooms are small and functional: many have parquet floors, a wardrobe, and a TV (signal can be unreliable). The bathrooms are particularly compact - the shower, toilet, and sink are very close together, so the space is best suited to one person at a time. Some rooms face the quiet residential street, while basement rooms may experience more noise from foot traffic. Several rooms have sash windows that may not close fully, and a number of rooms have older furnishings. Allergy-free rooms are available. For a more comfortable stay, especially for longer trips, a room on a higher floor away from the basement is recommended.

Breakfast is served in a small dining room and offers a choice of a full English breakfast (bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, toast), a cheese omelette, or cereal with toast. Tea, coffee, and orange juice are also provided. The breakfast is freshly prepared and filling, ideal for starting a day of sightseeing. The dining room is compact; at busy times you may share a table. A vending machine in the hallway sells drinks and snacks, though stock levels vary. Several cafés and restaurants are within a 10-minute walk around Tufnell Park station.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the building. Parking is free of charge but must be reserved in advance; the secure car park is gated and suitable for cars and small vans up to 2.0 metres tall. Luggage can be left at the hotel before check-in and after check-out, and the car can remain parked for the entire day of departure. Express check-in and check-out are available. There is no 24-hour reception, but the team is on-site during standard hours. The hotel has CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. No tea- or coffee-making facilities are provided in the rooms.
