CLYDE LARGE SUITE, Florence

The property is less than 1 km from Santa Maria Novella and 700 metres from Palazzo Vecchio, placing the historic centre within a 15-minute walk. Fortezza da Basso Convention Centre is a 7-minute walk, and Ponte Vecchio is 2 km away. Two tram stops are just 50 metres from the building, offering a direct line to Florence Airport (9 km) and the central train station (200 metres). The surrounding streets are quiet at night, though some rooms on the street side may hear traffic or ongoing neighbouring construction. Plenty of shops, cafes and Indian restaurants (Salaam Bombay, Haveli) are within a 300-metre radius, and Trattoria Za Za is 1 km away for traditional Florentine dining.

The room is equipped with a flat-screen smart TV, a tea and coffee maker, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and a wardrobe. The private bathroom includes a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. The room offers a city view and is non-smoking throughout. The mattress has been noted as soft and prone to sagging in the middle, which can be uncomfortable for stays longer than two nights. Soundproofing is limited: street-facing rooms may experience noise from traffic or nearby construction, and the building is in a historic structure where humidity and lack of full darkness (blinds allow light) can affect sleep quality. Heating in winter has been unreliable - the room may feel cold even with radiators on maximum - and the air conditioning unit is strictly for cooling only. Overall, the accommodation best suits short, practical stays.

Guests must plan their own meals as the property does not provide breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, electric kettle, and tea and coffee maker for basic self-catering. The surrounding location compensates well: within a 300-metre walk there are several Indian restaurants (Salaam Bombay, Haveli), a Chinese dim sum option (Il Gusto Dim Sum), a kebab shop (Emin Group Kebab), and a café (Time Caffe). Trattoria Za Za, a well-known Florentine restaurant, is 1 km away. For a wider choice, the historic centre's many eateries are a 15-minute walk.

The property offers no wellness or leisure amenities like a pool, spa, sauna, or fitness centre. Recreation is limited to independent exploration of Florence's historic centre, which is within walking distance. Guests seeking relaxation facilities should plan visits to external venues.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property at no extra cost, though connection strength has been inconsistent in some reports. Pets are allowed without additional charges. The check-in process is entirely self-service via messaging, and the host responds quickly to messages. No front desk, bell staff, or luggage storage is provided - guests must carry their own bags and wait until 15:00 check-in if arriving early. Parking is not available, so the nearby tram or on-street paid parking are the only options. The property is not fully wheelchair-accessible; the elevator may not feel secure, and stair access is possible.
