The Comfort Inn & Suites Memphis East is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Memphis and Graceland, Elvis Presley's home. The Memphis Botanic Garden is a 15-minute drive away, the Memphis Cook Convention Center is within 20 minutes, and the National Civil Rights Museum is reachable in about 30 minutes by car. Beale Street is roughly 15 minutes away. The hotel is close to major highways: Wendy's is a 5-minute walk, and several chain restaurants including Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, Applebee's and Starbucks are within about 1 km. The surrounding area has a mixed character - gated parking adds a layer of security, and using a car is recommended for getting around the immediate neighbourhood.

All guest rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, seating area and work desk. Cable TV with HBO and streaming services is provided, along with free Wi-Fi. Some rooms feature an in-room spa bath or jacuzzi; availability should be requested directly. A selection of rooms also offers walk-in showers. Room types include double rooms, quadruple rooms and suites, each with a private bathroom featuring a bath or shower and hairdryer. Carpeted floors, air conditioning and heating are standard. Renovations are underway - two of three floors are complete, with the first floor being updated. While many rooms are clean and comfortable with updated interiors, some rooms may show signs of wear such as stained carpets or bathroom mould, so requesting a recently renovated room is advisable.

A full hot continental breakfast is served daily from the morning, including waffles, scrambled eggs, pastries, juice and coffee. The breakfast is a good value for a free offering. For other meals, on-site vending machines with drinks and snacks are available. A number of quick-service and sit-down chain restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive, including Wendy's, Waffle House and Cracker Barrel. The breakfast area may run out of food, so arriving early is suggested.

The indoor salt-water swimming pool is open all year (09:00-21:00) and provides pool/beach towels and sun loungers. The pool depth and temperature have been noted as cool; a hot tub is not available. The property also has a small fitness centre with equipment. Because the property is under renovation, the pool and fitness facilities may be affected - it is recommended to confirm their availability before arrival.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Free on-site public parking is available but requires a reservation. The 24-hour front desk offers services including an ATM/cash machine, daily housekeeping and paid laundry. The full-service business centre includes fax/photocopying facilities (additional charge). Other amenities include a lift, designated smoking area, facilities for disabled guests, and safety features such as CCTV, security alarms, key card access and smoke alarms. Pets are not allowed.
