COMPLEJO RURAL EL MIRADOR, Malaga

This rural property sits in the mountains above Málaga, about 20 minutes by taxi from the city center, offering a peaceful escape with sweeping sea and mountain views. The drive up is winding and scenic. While the city's attractions-Picasso Museum, Alcazaba, shopping-are easily reachable by car, the complex itself feels remote and quiet, ideal for disconnecting. Taxis can reach the property, but a car is strongly recommended for independence, especially for grocery trips and outings. Free on-site parking is available, making car use practical.

The complex has four independent houses. A 2-bedroom wooden house offers a private pool, air conditioning, and a living room with fireplace. Larger houses (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) include shared pool access, and some feature a pool table, washing machine, and dishwashers. All houses have a private terrace or balcony, barbecue facilities, and a kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and tea/coffee maker. Bed configurations range from 2 to 14 beds. The thick stone walls and high ceilings naturally regulate temperature, so air conditioning is rarely needed in stone houses. The wood house has air conditioning for warmer days. Road-facing rooms can experience some noise; interiors are otherwise quiet.

Each house is equipped with a kitchen that includes a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher (in some units), and all cookware and utensils, allowing full meal preparation. Private outdoor dining areas and charcoal barbecues are provided. For supplies, a supermarket is a short drive away. A welcome gift of local wine and farm-fresh eggs is provided on arrival.

The complex features two outdoor pools with mountain and sea views, surrounded by sun loungers and beach umbrellas. Both pools have shallow ends and are fenced for safety; they are open all year round. The 2-bedroom wooden house includes a private pool. The other houses share the two larger pools. Entertainment includes billiards (in the 3-bedroom house), table tennis, bingo, fishing, and hiking. A children's playground, zip line, trampoline, and small farm animals provide ample play options for families. The pool area is secure with two locked gates.
