DANTE'S ROOMS, Florence

The property sits directly in the tourist heart of Florence. Piazza della Signoria is a 4-minute walk, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is 200 metres away, the Uffizi Gallery is 6 minutes on foot, and the Accademia Gallery is under 1 km. Florence airport is 11 km away. Pitti Palace and Strozzi Palace are both less than 1 km. The immediate area is busy with restaurants, shops and pedestrian streets. For arrivals, the check-in guidance is sent via WhatsApp with a video - the building entrance is not always obvious, so allow extra time to find it. Luggage storage is available after checkout at a separate nearby location.

The property offers double rooms (1 bed), twin rooms (2 beds), and twin/double rooms (1 bed). All rooms share a single bathroom with a bath or shower and bidet. Some rooms include a kitchenette with a stovetop, oven, refrigerator and dining table. Beds described as double are often two single mattresses pushed together, creating a noticeable gap. The rooms are spacious but basic - parquet floors are common, and furniture can feel worn. Windows are old and may not close fully, leading to drafts and noise from the street or an adjacent restaurant kitchen. Air conditioning is available but may only function after 8 pm. Rooms facing the restaurant kitchen can have cooking smells. The shared bathroom has a simple hook latch, and water temperature can be difficult to control between extremes. Rooms are cleaned on request only, and some may not be serviced daily.

Dante's Rooms does not have its own restaurant, bar or breakfast service. The immediate neighbourhood, however, is dense with eateries within 0.5 km: I' Mangiarino, Da Vinattieri, Ristorante il Paiolo, Osteria del Proconsolo, Agricola Toscana, Yellow Bar and Coquinarius. The rooms that include a kitchenette allow guests to prepare their own meals using the stovetop, oven and refrigerator. For those without a kitchenette, light snacks can be bought at nearby shops. A light breakfast or coffee is available from cafés within a short walk.

WiFi is free and fast (274 Mbps, suitable for 4K streaming and video calls on multiple devices).
