DESERT MOON MOTEL, Las Vegas

The motel sits in a working-class area of downtown Las Vegas, within walking distance of the Fremont Street Experience (2 km) and close to attractions like the Mob Museum (2 km) and Stratosphere Tower (4 km). A 7-11 convenience store is two blocks away, and several restaurants are within 0.5-1 km, including The Blue Skillet, Los Tacos, and Hatsumi. The property itself is safe and well-maintained; the surrounding blocks have a higher homeless presence but the motel grounds are secure. For airport transfers, Uber/Lyft are recommended as the motel does not operate a shuttle. Bicycle rental is available on-site for exploring the area.

The motel offers three room types: a suite with two beds and an inner courtyard view; a studio with one bed, a walk-in shower, and a rainfall showerhead; and a single room with a kitchenette. Each room includes a refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, wardrobe, and tiled floors. Rooms have been recently renovated and are kept very clean. Despite being on a main road, the rooms are notably quiet, with soundproofing that blocks most outside noise. Bathroom lighting can be dim in some units - bringing a small portable light is advisable. The beds are comfortable, though some may find them low; hot water can run out quickly. For light sleepers, rooms away from the road are available on request.

Nearby dining options include The Blue Skillet (0.5 km), Blue Skillet Family Restaurant (0.5 km), Los Tacos (0.5 km), Cake World Bakery (1 km), La Monja (1 km), and Hatsumi (1 km). A 7-11 convenience store is two blocks away for snacks and basic groceries. The in-room kitchenette allows guests to prepare their own meals, making it easy to manage dining costs.

Parking is free and does not require a reservation; spaces are plentiful and often allow parking directly outside the room. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and works reliably. Pets (dogs and cats) are accepted with a $25 per pet per night fee, subject to a two-pet limit and weight cap of 23 kg. Daily housekeeping is available at an additional charge. The property is single-story with no elevator, and features outdoor seating and garden furniture. An iron and ironing board can be provided on request. Bicycle rental is available for guests wanting to explore the area. All rooms are non-smoking, with outdoor ash buckets provided. Accepted payment methods: American Express, Visa, Discover, MasterCard.
