Edinburgh Castle is less than 1 km away, and Waverley Railway Station is a 10-minute walk. The street itself is calm, but there is some street noise on lower floors on weekend nights. Proximity to bus and tram stops provides direct connections to the airport, while the Royal Mile and Old Town are a 15-minute walk.

Accommodation consists of one and two-bedroom self-catering apartments. Most feature a large open-plan living and dining room, a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, and essential cookware, and carpeted bedrooms. Beds are consistently described as very comfortable. Some apartments include a sofa bed and balcony. The second bedroom in two-bedroom units can be compact with limited storage and may not be suitable for two adults. Deeper bathtubs are standard in many units, and toiletries are provided. Apartments are located on various floors; the building has no lift.

The apartments are designed for self-catering with a fully stocked kitchen including a washing machine, dishwasher, and electric kettle.
