Night bus number 26 serves late departures. Nearby are McDonald's, Shell garage, Farmfoods, and several kebab shops. The walk to Leith via a raised walkway and park takes about 15 minutes. The area is quiet and feels safe, but finding the exact address in the dark without internet assistance can be very difficult. Parking is available on-site for free, though the limited number of spaces can be tight; street parking nearby is also possible and generally feels safe.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, cookware, utensils, and a good sized fridge-freezer for storing groceries.
