ECONO LODGE INN & SUITES DUBUQUE, Dubuque

The hotel provides non-smoking rooms. Guest feedback indicates a wide inconsistency in room conditions. Some accommodations are described as comfortable, with effective air conditioning and comfortable beds. However, many reports detail issues such as dated decor, hard beds and pillows, noisy air conditioning units, and a lack of climate control between stays. Cleanliness is a recurring concern, including dirty carpets, stained sheets and towels, mold in bathrooms, and unpleasant odors. Rooms may lack hand soap, sufficient towels, and working coffee supplies. The presence of large window AC units, small TVs with basic cable, and noisy refrigerators suggests a dated infrastructure. Guests hoping for a predictable, high-standard stay should thoroughly inspect their room upon arrival and request a change if needed.

The property offers a paid continental breakfast for $5. The selection typically includes do-it-yourself waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, cold cereal, and milk. While some find the breakfast to be acceptable value for the price, others note limited options and a lack of fresh fruit. Guests who require a more substantial or varied morning meal may find the surrounding fast food outlets a useful alternative. The breakfast area is functional but may lack the variety expected for a longer stay.

For leisure, the property features a sauna, a practical option for relaxation. A business centre is provided for guests needing to stay productive. There is no pool on-site, so families with children should plan alternative activities. The fitness room has been noted for its unexpectedly low ceiling and high temperature, making it less comfortable for an intense workout. These facilities are modest and best suited for short stays or transit guests rather than those seeking a full leisure experience.
